Already thinking about Fall
Today I had a great time with Kate at Kate Gray while she viewed some potential apparel for fall. I served as potential customer and on-looker.   We started with pants.  I was pleasantly surprised with the comfort and good fit of all of the styles.  I particularly loved the colored jeans - the brown/gray color, and the pumpkin color.  I didn't think I would like the pumpkin color on me but it turned out to be quite flattering.  I think it will be a hit in the fall.  It will look very updated with various tops.  When we finished with the pants we started on the tops.  I immediately fell in love with a few of the lacy camisoles which can be worn with either a higher lacy neck or a lower neck where the lace appears toward the outside near the straps.  The teal and the deep burgundy were awesome and I cannot wait to get them when they come in.  Since I usually do not wear really lacy and frilly stuff I was surprised that I liked several of the tops.  One in particular which I surprisingly liked was a modest but at the same time subtely sexy black top with a V-neck and pretty lace near the top.  I felt so comfortable in it.  It had a flattering shape, tapering in toward the waist, and I  could picture myself actually wearing it under a jacket or even alone (yes, you heard it - even by itself - nothing on top of it hiding it).  I rarely say that about frilly lacy tops as I am not that fond of them..  Kate decided to order it and I wish it were in already as I would love to wear it this summer with my white pants.  It is really a hot/sexy but classy top!  This was such a fun day!

Well here it is the third day of summer vacation and I have finally had the time to clean out some of my old clothes in anticipation of some great fall styles and colors.  Did I really need to keep those old polyester pull on pants?  Or how about that two tone beige and white dress that I wore the summer I lived and studied in Mexico?  Yes, some of those older pieces had some sentimental value but if I keep them where will I put all of my new purchases?  I am already excited about what we will see for fall.  A few of the leading stores are already posting about the beautiful green tones that will be hot this fall.  I am very excited about this trend.  What about the menswear influence?  What do you think about that?  Do you also like those beautiful green tones?  Can't wait to explore more tomorrow.
